Blue Mountains

It is hard to believe, the Blue Mountains, a World Heritage Area is just 50 km away from Sydney which stretches for more than a million hectares (3861 square miles). Be ready to be captivated by tall forests, sandstone cliffs, canyons and waterfalls that make up the magnificent Blue Mountains.

With a blue horizon of eucalyptus trees that appear to stretch on forever, expect to be enchanted by the natural beauty of the Blue Mountains World Heritage Area. Set out on foot to explore some of the 140 kilometres (87 miles) of walking tracks, admire the native bushland, marvel at the impressive rock formations and explore underground caves on a holiday centred around the outdoors.

How to get there?

The Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area is about two hours drive west from the city of Sydney. It is best reached and explored by car, however, you can also get there by train and on a coach tour. Sydney Airport is about one hour and 40 minutes east of the main Blue Mountains town of Katoomba.

Trains run every hour or two to the Blue Mountains from Sydney Central, and can also connect at major stations along the way, like Parramatta. Standard trains are used with no seating reservations. Trains run every hour or so as far as Mount Victoria and usually, every second one will proceed to Lithgow.

Jenolan Caves

Jenolan caves are most magnificent &
best-known Limestone caves in Australia.

The main attractions are the ten spectacular caves that are open to the public, filled with astonishing limestone formations.

The duration of the guided tour of each show cave is from 1 to 2 hours.
